The objective of
the seminar is to focus APEC government policy and business initiatives to maximise the
benefits from electronic commerce in trade and transport.
To achieve this a range
of presentations and open discussion sessions have been set up around the following
issues;
- APECs ongoing action plan for
electronic commerce.
- Looking at successful applications of
electronic commerce in transport and trade.
- Paperless trading - making it happen.
- Business friendly policy settings for
electronic commerce.
- Dealing with current and future
intelligent transport systems and electronic commerce technology.

Who should attend?
The seminar is about producing meaningful solutions for the various stakeholders of
electronic commerce in APEC member countries. It is expected that delegates to the seminar
would include government officers making decisions on electronic commerce, transport
industry users and providers of electronic commerce services to government and industry.
