Project Implementation –Explanatory Note for Selection of Tenderer

The Request for Proposal for Phase 1 of the Electronic Commerce Project (TPT 01/99T) is attached. It has been agreed that the Project Steering Committee for this project will comprise Australia (Project Overseer), Indonesia and the USA.

Please ensure that prospective tenderers are provided with the ‘Request for Proposal’, including Appendix1. Tenderers should send their proposal to their own economy contact officer and not directly to the APEC Secretariat. Each economy should submit only one proposal to the APEC Secretariat.

The Secretariat will then send the proposal it receives from each economy to the Project Steering Committee, which will select the most suitable tenderer.

The successful tenderer will be announced by 23 April 1999.

Economies wishing to nominate a consultant for this project are invited to submit one proposal to the APEC Secretariat by 24 March 1999.
