Rules for the Submission of Papers for TPT-WG Meetings

(Approved by Heads of Delegations at TPT-WG/18, Miyazaki, Japan, 18 October 2000)

All meeting agenda, and all papers requiring a decision by the TPT-WG should be posted on the TPT-WG website and/or communicated to economies as early as possible in advance of the meeting. The minimum notice for such material is four weeks in advance of the commencement of the meeting.

Should a substantive paper be posted within two weeks of the commencement of the meeting, then any economy that considers it is disadvantaged by insufficient time to prepare for discussion, may request that the Group consider deferring the paper, either for intersessional work or until the next meeting.

Note:

Economies may send a summary of the paper in advance, if there are difficulties in achieving the four-week deadline.
